We believe in the enjoyment and pleasures of life around great food, wine, and friends. Based in the Napa/Sonoma region of Northern California, we have access to some of the worlds best wine makers, growers, sommeliers, chefs, and world-class destinations.

Founder and CEO, Lisa Koester, started in the wine and hospitality industry on a whim over 25 years ago. Working for a variety of hotels, restaurants, and wine companies, she has a passion for wine and a nose for varietals and what makes them sing when served at the proper temperature. "Most wines are served either too warm (Pinot, Burgundy, Merlot) or far too cold to open up in the glass. Shoving a bottle in a bucket of ice or the fridge for 20 minutes may be the commonplace practice, but it does the wine and the person and people who labored to make it a great disservice. Wines deserve to 'sing'." says Lisa, " in harmony with the food alongside them while maintaining what the earth and the vintner are trying to say when you stick your nose in that glass. The story develops as the wine opens up. That is what we are trying to do at Grand Cru. Preserve the stories each vintner and bottle has to tell us. Lisa lives in Northern California with her architect husband, Mark, of Mayacamas Architects, 2 cats, and several bottles of perfectly chilled wine.
